Hamilton, Ontario to see higher false alarm fees
The Hamilton Police Services Board has amended the false alarm by-law for the area which includes new fees. The Board implemented the following fees which are effective August 27, 2012:

The CANASA Golden Horseshoe Chapter is proud to support the Bulldogs Foundation. The mission of the Bulldogs Foundation is to enrich the lives of children and youth in the Greater Hamilton Area through the assignment of tickets, cash donations and gifts in kind. By doing so, it aims to promote the creativity of interactive programs involving education, physical fitness and personal well-being.
The Foundation’s main purpose is to strengthen and broaden the base of the Hamilton Bulldogs community support by providing funds to non-profit community groups and by supporting educational and community programs.

Topic: Situational Awareness and Physical Security Information Management (PSIM)
Situational awareness and PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) are new terms that describe systems that integrate technologies for life safety, security, environmental monitoring and mass notification.
PSIM solutions deliver real-time, detailed alerts about potential threats to life, property, business and convenience to help customers not only prevent ignorance-based loss but also transform the way they do business.
The presentation will help attendees understand PSIM, situational awareness, and mass notification.
Guest speakers:
Roman Dabrowski, Ingram Micro
Roman Dabrowski is the Business Development Manager at Ingram Micro responsible for their physical security product line. He provides market and technical support for video surveillance, intrusion detection, access control and situational awareness (PSIM) solutions. Roman has over 30 years of experience in the physical layer internetworking and IP physical security market and he holds the BICSI designation of RCDD, Registered Communications Distribution Designer.
Christopher Prada, Status Solutions
Chris Prada is an Electrical Engineering graduate of Ryerson University, with over 30 years of experience in the telecommunication industry. He worked in design and development of digital voice processing systems and was awarded the Product of the Year by Teleconnect Magazine (2000), and Strategic Partner of the Year by Domino’s Pizza (2002). Chris has been a regular invited speaker at telecommunication seminars across North America. He has negotiated global distribution agreements with major telecommunication manufacturers and has worked as a technology consultant to major corporations across North and South America, the UK and the Caribbean. Chris joined Status Solutions in 2011 to manage the growing Canadian market for situational awareness applications.
